Bodhi Prem Yoga Yoga Tips
**IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME PRACTICING YOGA?

If so here are some helpful tips.
1. Please do not eat at least 2 hours prior to class. If you do have a light snack such as a piece of fruit.
2. Wear loose comfortable clothing (tank top, tee shirt, pants with elastic waist) that allows room to move.
3. Yoga is practiced barefoot. If possible please remove your nail polish prior to class.
4. Yoga is non competitive. This is your class. So please pay attention to the signals your body sends you and honor your body.
5. You should never feel pain. If you do please alert your teacher immediately.
6. In yoga all breathing is done in and out of your nostrils and the breath comes from the diaphragm.
7. Yoga mats and props are available, though we do encourage you to bring your own mat.
8. Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start time of your class. This will give you enough time to prepare and relax before you begin and will allow the teacher to start the class on time.
9. Inform your teacher of any health related issues, including if you are menstrating or pregnant before the class.
